Recommendations from Naftogaz of Ukraine

According to Novyny.live: The Naftogaz of Ukraine group is encouraging citizens to settle their gas bills using the National Cashback card. This approach lets consumers put money saved from purchasing Ukrainian-made goods toward their utility payments. By spring, the maximum national cashback amount will reach 3,000 hryvnias. It is important to note that the cashback program has been updated: customers can now earn either 5% or 15% back on purchases, depending on the product category, instead of the previous flat 10%.

Submitting Gas Meter Readings

Customers of Gas Distribution Networks must submit their gas meter readings between the 28th and the 5th of each month. This step is essential for accurate tracking of gas consumption and proper billing. For other gas distribution operators, readings must be provided by the 5th of every month. Keeping meter data up to date helps avoid calculation errors and ensures precise usage records.

Given these changes, Naftogaz clients are advised to carefully monitor submission deadlines and use the National Cashback card for their purchases. This not only helps them save money but also supports Ukrainian producers.

There has been a noticeable push to boost Ukraine’s economy through consumer incentive programs. Encouraging the use of cashback for buying local goods can stimulate the domestic market, which is especially valuable during times of economic uncertainty. Furthermore, the emphasis on timely meter readings highlights the need for accurate energy resource accounting, which can improve consumers’ financial awareness.
