Naftogaz advises to install gas alarms: how to prevent explosions.
Overview of recommendations from 'Naftogaz of Ukraine'
The gas supply company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' recommends consumers to install gas alarms in homes with gas stoves. This is a necessary safety measure as the risk of gas leakage is always present.
According to inkorr.com: The alarm monitors air quality in the room and, if it detects a dangerous concentration of gas, activates a powerful sound signal. Company representatives added that some models can even prevent explosions or poisoning by automatically shutting off the gas supply or turning on ventilation.
Tariff plan and heating season support
In addition, 'Naftogaz' continues the operation of the 'Fixed' tariff plan, under which Ukrainians will pay 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter of gas from October 1. This price is secured at least until April 2026 and is part of the moratorium on price increases.
'Naftogaz', together with international partners, ensures the stability of the heating season by investing 2.5 billion dollars in gas purchases due to the destruction of its own production as a result of attacks.
Call to abandon Russian gas
President Zelensky called on Europe to stop importing Russian oil and gas, as well as to expedite the abandonment of Russian gas as part of the actions of the European Commission.
'Naftogaz' emphasizes the importance of installing gas alarms to enhance consumer safety, continues the 'Fixed' tariff plan until April 2026 without changes, and actively works to ensure the stability of the heating season and reduce dependence on Russian gas.
Overall, the recommendations implemented by 'Naftogaz' will help not only increase consumer safety but also ensure stability in the context of an unstable energy situation. The importance of state measures in this area is becoming increasingly relevant, especially in the context of calls to abandon the import of Russian energy resources.
