Abuse in the children's educational and rehabilitation center of Lviv region
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported that physical, psychological, and sexual violence was allegedly committed against children in the children's educational and rehabilitation center of Lviv region. The Prosecutor General's Office responded to this event and initiated a criminal case.
«Under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated on the fact of sexual violence against a minor (part 3 of Article 153 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)», – the statement said.
The Prosecutor General's Office notes that physical, psychological, and sexual violence was allegedly committed against the wards of the educational and rehabilitation institution in the Lviv region. Currently, the children have been placed in a safe place and initial investigative actions are being carried out.
It should be recalled that Dmytro Lubinets reported that children were abused in the rehabilitation center in the Lviv region. According to him, this center hosts the most vulnerable categories of orphaned children: those deprived of parental care; those in difficult life circumstances; children with special educational needs.
Also, in Poltava region in the village of Kotelva, parents of teenagers who committed assault and sexual violence against a minor were only fined 850 hryvnias.
Also, in Odessa, a woman abused her 2-year-old niece throughout the night and broadcast it live on social media to attract as many followers as possible. The law enforcement officers removed the girl from the family.
