Images obtained from the Sentinel-2 satellite show the aftermath of an attack on one of the key ammunition depots of the Russian army. The images show a prolonged fire at the facility, which is located near the village of Kameny in the Krasnodar region of Russia. This depot is one of the largest ammunition storage bases in the Russian logistics system. According to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, this base was also used to store North Korean ammunition alongside Russia.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the operation was successful and over 2000 tons of ammunition were destroyed. The images also show a fire near the military airfield in the city of Tikhoretsk.
