The Russian Federation is actively increasing its influence on the information space of Africa. The Kremlin is expanding its network of propaganda media across the continent. This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to him, Russia uses state media resources to spread Kremlin narratives. Broadcasting by media is already taking place in more than 40 countries in Africa in six languages. There are plans to expand broadcasting in Mozambique, Angola, and Ethiopia. Yusov emphasized that Russian propaganda poses a threat to global security and works to expand the aggressor's influence.
The plans of the Russian Federation include opening bureaus in several African countries. Russian corporations actively utilize infrastructural projects to promote their interests in Africa. Ukrainian intelligence has also reported on attempts by Russian interests in the continent through 'soft power.'
A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed details about strengthening Russia's presence in Africa through the expansion of media space and infrastructural projects, which poses a threat to global security.Read also
