According to inkorr.com: NATO and Ukraine are joining efforts to improve medical services on the battlefield. The Ministry of Defense has reported on joint actions in this direction.

According to the agency, the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Preparation, and Education Center (JATEC) in cooperation with the NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) is announcing the 17th NATO Innovation Challenge on the topic 'Medical Assistance in Accessible and Unprotected Combat Space'.

The competition organizers are aiming to find effective solutions for providing medical assistance during hostilities. Participants are invited to develop practical concepts related to medical stabilization, evacuation of the wounded, and communications in threat conditions from the enemy, including reconnaissance and artillery strikes.

Military companies from NATO member countries and Ukraine, as well as research institutions, are invited to participate. The deadline for applications is November 16, 2025.

Selected finalists will present their solutions to NATO and Ukrainian specialists, national representatives, and operational users. The public defense and demonstration of the solutions will take place on December 5 in London.

The 17th NATO Innovation Challenge aims to find innovative solutions to improve medical assistance in combat conditions. Participants will have the opportunity to share their concepts with experts and operational users, which could be an important step in the development of medical technologies on the battlefield and their adaptation to modern challenges.
