The Ukrainian national gymnastics team successfully completed its performances at the World Championship 2025 in Jakarta. Ukrainian gymnast Nazar Chepurnyi won a bronze medal in the final of his signature event - the vault, defending his title won at the World Championship 2023. According to inkorr.com: Nazar Chepurnyi approached the world championship with an injury to his fingers, sustained during training on the parallel bars. Because of this, the athlete was forced to limit his performance to just the vault.
Despite the injury, the Ukrainian reached the finals of the world championship in this event for the third consecutive time, finishing third in the qualification with a score of 14.316 points. In the final, Chepurnyi showed an improved result, facing serious competition:
- First vault: 14.466 points.
- Second vault: 14.500 points.
- Total score: 14.483 points.
This result brought Chepurnyi his second consecutive bronze medal at the world championships.
