According to Tourism.d.ua — Туризм: Analysts have evaluated 80 European islands based on three key criteria: weather conditions, culinary offerings, and natural resources. Tenerife, part of Spain’s Canary Islands, topped the list with a score of 95 points, excelling in every assessed category. This ranking provides a useful benchmark for travelers seeking top-tier island destinations in Europe.
La Palma secured the second spot with 94 points, while Madeira earned third place with 93 points. The top five also included Korčula (92 points) and Mljet (90 points). Here is the complete top five:

Weather and Dining Highlights
In the weather category, Tenerife performed well with 88 points, though La Gomera (86 points) and Gran Canaria (85 points) led that segment. For gastronomy, Capri (75 points), Sardinia (66 points), and Santorini (65 points) claimed the highest scores. When it came to natural resources, Mljet (86 points), Madeira (85 points), and Korčula (83 points) were recognized as the best.
Additionally, Austria topped the list for lake water purity with a 96.5% score, followed by Finland at 94.7%. These figures highlight the growing role of environmental quality in shaping tourism appeal across European islands.
This ranking underscores the importance of natural resource quality and ecological conditions for the tourism industry, especially as competition among European destinations intensifies.
