The renovation has been going on for five years: neighbors talk about the 'nightmare' with the house in the woods.
Local residents are suffering from the abandoned neighboring house
According to The Sun: Residents of the area express outrage over five years of suffering caused by the abandoned house of their neighbor. Its condition resembles long-term devastation: construction scaffolding, piles of garbage and debris, and hope for a swift completion of the renovation work is fading. Owner Margaret Smith began the restoration of the ceiling and roof five years ago, but now predicts that she may only finish the work by 2030.
“This is simply unbearable. I can’t take it anymore,” - says one of the residents.
Residents of the area note that the lack of progress is causing concern and is starting to affect their daily lives. They have appealed to local authorities for intervention, but so far, adequate solutions have not been found.
“We want someone to finally do something,” - adds another neighbor.
Neighbors are also concerned about the safety and appearance of their homes, as the abandoned property could lead to a decrease in the value of their real estate.
The situation surrounding the abandoned house has become an important issue for the local community. Residents hope that the authorities will be able to find a way out of this situation, as the prolonged existence of such property not only worsens the aesthetics of the area but also creates real threats to neighboring houses.
