Non-brothers, like close relatives of deceased or missing servicemen, can now receive a deferment from mobilization upon providing the relevant documents. According to updates in the legislation that came into effect in 2024, this possibility has become available for all relatives who are in such a difficult situation.
Documents confirming family ties and the disappearance of the serviceman must be submitted to the territorial recruitment center. This is done so that they have the opportunity to obtain a deferment from conscription and, thus, be able to take care of family affairs and resolve the difficult issues related to loss.
