Never-before-seen moment stadium announcer gets given red card in Conference League clash.
Unusual incident in football
According to The Sun: During the Conference League match on Thursday evening, the stadium announcer received a red card.
The match between the Turkish club 'Basaksehir' and the Romanian 'CS Universitatea Craiova' descended into chaos ten minutes before the final whistle.

The 'Craiova' team was leading 2-1 and won 3-1, thus advancing to the main stage of the Conference League with an aggregate score of 5-2.
However, after they scored their third goal, the celebration quickly turned into a sideline scuffle.
A conflict arose between the players and coaches of both teams, resulting in the referee issuing red cards to members of the coaching staff.
However, the most surprising moment was when the referee handed a red card to the 'Craiova' stadium announcer, who continued to speak into the microphone during the celebrations.
So it is not entirely clear why he was sent off, but the announcer was escorted off the field by the assistant referee.
SunSport reached out to UEFA for comment.
Turkey suffers defeats in the Conference League
The exit of 'Basaksehir' from the Conference League has been part of the disappointment for Turkish football.
The team joined 'Fenerbahce', 'Samsunspor' and 'Besiktas', which also failed to qualify for European competition over the past two days.
The early exit of 'Besiktas' had the most resonance in Turkey, as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was dismissed just hours after a 0-1 defeat to the Swiss club 'Lausanne-Sport'.
“Our contract with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been terminated in accordance with a decision made at the board meeting.'
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer joined the club in January after a three-year break from management, which ended with an unpleasant exit from 'United' at the end of 2021.
Last season he led the Turkish club to fourth place, utilizing former Premier League stars including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arthur Masuaku, and Gedson Fernandes.
It is worth noting that 'Lausanne' is owned by INEOS, chaired by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is also known as the owner of 'United'.

The exit of 'Basaksehir' is part of a smaller but highly focused effort from Turkish football on the international stage. Clubs that did not advance to European competitions contribute to discussions about the need for reforms in domestic football. Meanwhile, Solskjaer’s situation shows that high expectations carry risks for managers, especially in a tournament they lost. Read also
