Criminal attacks occurred at the Swedish embassy in Moscow, during which gas canisters were used. This was reported by Dagens industri.
According to the obtained information, three unidentified individuals threw bottles and sprayed gas in the security area next to the embassy. The Moscow police quickly detained the attackers.
The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that they are aware of the incident and are maintaining contact with the embassy in Moscow. However, they have refrained from making comments for now.
The same news portal notes that this is not the first attack on the Swedish embassy in Russia. In February of this year, the building was attacked with bags of feces. This incident occurred after Sweden confirmed its decision to join NATO. According to Russian media, this may be the reason for such attacks.
Furthermore, Swedish authorities suspected employees of the Orthodox church, which was recently built on the outskirts of the city of Västerås, of spying for Russia. The church is located only 100 kilometers west of Stockholm.
