How to Save on Chocolate

We all love chocolate, but we don't always want to spend a lot on our favorite treats.

Consumer news reporter Sam Walker shares tips for saving:

Choose store-brand products – if you don't have specific flavor requirements, supermarket chocolate bars can be a more cost-effective option.

Compare prices – after finding your favorite brand at a supermarket, check if there are better deals at other stores.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk can help you find out if you are really getting the best price.

Look for discounts – supermarket employees often mark down items with yellow, orange, or red stickers.

This is typically done for items nearing expiration or with slightly damaged packaging.

Buy in bulk – purchasing in varying weights can often be cheaper, and a large package may be more economical if you plan to buy a lot of chocolate.

Not everyone was pleased with the new product: some social media commentators expressed their dissatisfaction.

“I can't remember anything worse,” one user wrote.

“These packages with tiny cookies are the driest things I've ever tasted,” another commentator noted.

Others pointed out the high price of the product.

“The prices are simply outrageous,” one commentator remarked, while another pointed out that the brand “will release anything to make money.”

More about chocolate

Another chocolate novelty that parents are planning to buy for their children this Christmas is also gaining popularity.

A new flavor of Terry’s Chocolate Orange was unveiled ahead of the holidays.

The old Cadbury chocolate bar, discontinued in the '90s, has returned to shelves for just 87 pence after decades of absence.

Meanwhile, Celebrations has also changed its packaging for Christmas.

Additionally, B&M shoppers discovered two new flavors of festive chocolate favorites being sold for £1 at checkouts.

The launch of the McVitie's Penguin Selection set has prompted mixed reactions among consumers. The brand is trying to attract customers with new original offers during the holiday season, but not everything is received positively. Looking at the reviews, questions about price and quality remain relevant for buyers.
