Newcastle named the price for Isak: Liverpool can sign the transfer for £130 million.
According to The Sun: Newcastle has finally announced the price for their desired striker Alexander Isak.
The club is willing to let him go on the last day of the transfer window even if they do not succeed in signing a new player for that position.
ReutersThroughout the summer, Newcastle actively tried to keep their star striker.
They rejected an initial offer from Liverpool of £110 million, even with bonuses, at the beginning of August.
This prompted Isak to announce a strike, informing the management that he would no longer play for Newcastle, missing all matches this season, and issuing an angry statement on social media.
“I have been silent for a long time while others spoke. This silence allowed people to create their version of events, even though they know it does not reflect what was actually said and agreed behind closed doors.
“The reality is that promises were made, and the club has long known my position.
“Now to pretend that these issues have only arisen now is misleading.
“When promises are not kept and trust is lost, relationships cannot continue.
“This is where I am right now – and why changes are for the good of everyone, not just me.”
The club's director hoped to keep the Swedish striker, but a sum of £150 million could convince the Saudi owners to let him go.
The club responded: “We are disappointed to learn of the post on social media from Alexander Isak.
“We clearly state: Alex remains under contract, and there are no commitments from the club's officials that Alex may leave Newcastle this summer.
“Alex remains part of our family and will be warmly welcomed when he is ready to return to his teammates.”
However, less than 24 hours before the transfer window closes, it became known that Newcastle is willing to accept £130 million for Isak. This could prompt Liverpool to make an improved offer at the last moment.
However, if the deal does not happen, Newcastle still hopes that Isak will eventually agree to sign a new contract with a buyout clause for next summer.

However, Newcastle has new hope: the club is willing to accept an offer of £130 million, even if they cannot find a new striker.
Newcastle has already spent a record sum of £69 million on striker Nick Woltemade.
But their chances of finding another forward, particularly Wolves star Jorgen Strand Larsen or Brentford player Yoane Wissa, seem quite doubtful.
It is also reported that Roma and Ukrainian Artem Dovbik may become the subject of a £30 million offer on the last day of the transfer window.
Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe admitted after the goalless draw with Leeds that he still does not know what will happen with Isak.
Howe said: “I don’t know. I’m not part of any negotiations.”
If the deal does not happen, the coach emphasized that Isak can still play for the team: “Yes, from my side I've said it from the very beginning. As long as he is under contract, that’s how it should be.”
Without Isak, Newcastle started the season with two goalless draws and a dramatic 3-2 loss to Liverpool.
Their Champions League campaign will start with a match against Barcelona on September 18, and the team will also face Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, and PSG in the group.

Whether Liverpool will manage to sign the Swedish forward is a question that leaves many hopes for fans of both clubs. In the meantime, Newcastle is preparing for important matches in the season, hoping for Isak's return to the team.
