Nicolas Jackson joins Bayern

According to The Sun: Nicolas Jackson has officially left Chelsea after the club agreed to a 14 million pounds loan deal with Bayern before the transfer window closed.

The Senegalese player, who plays as a forward, was at a hotel in Munich and actively worked to finalize the deal before the transfer window closed, just a year after extending his contract.

Transfer Situation

Following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, Jackson became the team's third striker.

Joao Pedro surprised everyone by scoring five goals in his first five matches for the club, forcing Chelsea to rethink their offensive strategy.

His success led 'The Blues' to be open to loaning out Jackson. Initially, an agreement with Bayern was reached, but due to Liam Delap's injury in a match against Fulham, the club informed the German side of the cancellation of the deal.

According to SunSport, Jackson was warned about the situation before his arrival in Munich, but did everything he could to finalize the deal. Ultimately, both clubs and the player's agents, Ali Barata and Diomancy Kamara, managed to agree on new terms.

Ultimately, Bayern and Chelsea fulfilled Jackson's wishes, agreeing on a loan deal with a buy option totaling 70 million pounds.

Jackson will now join coach Patrick Vieira, who attempted to sign him during his time at Anderlecht.

Career at Chelsea

Chelsea signed Nicolas Jackson in 2022 for 32 million pounds. During his time at the club, he scored 24 goals in 64 league matches, but his reputation suffered after receiving two red cards in the last four matches.

One of those cards came during Chelsea's fight for a Champions League spot, and the other in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup against Flamengo, which caused him to miss the final against PSG, in which, despite all the challenges, Chelsea emerged victorious.

Jackson's transfer to Bayern opens new prospects for a player who has a chance to shine in his new team. A change of scenery could positively impact his career, and Bayern, with a strong squad, will provide a good platform for his development. The transfer also reflects Bayern's proactive approach as they look to strengthen their attacking line ahead of new challenges in domestic and European competitions.
