Bundesliga: Bayern has reached an agreement with Nicolas Jackson for a transfer from Chelsea.
Bayern Munich and Nicolas Jackson have agreed on the striker's transfer from Chelsea
According to The Sun: Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Nicolas Jackson regarding his transfer from Chelsea. The Senegalese forward has accepted terms with the Bundesliga giants, and negotiations are ongoing between Chelsea and Bayern for a potential loan deal with an option to buy.
Reports last week indicated that the 24-year-old striker was definitely not joining Aston Villa, despite widespread rumors that he was set to reunite with Unai Emery, the manager who gave him a chance when he first moved to Europe.
Discussions had been held with an unnamed top club regarding Jackson, and it has now been revealed that this club is Bayern Munich. The Bavarian club successfully negotiated terms with the player over the past 48 hours.
Chelsea reportedly wants around £60 million for Jackson's transfer but is also willing to let him go on loan, especially if the club can agree on the transfer of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
Jackson's delegation is already in London to finalize the deal, as the transfer window closes soon. Chelsea is beginning to replace the player, and even if Jackson stays, his playing time will be limited.
Jackson has proven himself at Chelsea, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists in 64 league matches. Chelsea is also likely to part ways with other players such as Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, and Axel Disasi before the transfer window closes.
After less than a year from signing a new contract, the split between Jackson and Chelsea is seen as a timely and beneficial resolution for both parties.
The deal for Nicolas Jackson's transfer from Chelsea to Bayern Munich is nearing completion, and it seems that all parties are satisfied with this development.
