Nicolas Jackson moves to Bayern: record loan transfer from Chelsea.
Nicolas Jackson's transfer to Bayer
According to The Sun: Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson has received permission to move to Germany, where he will undergo a medical examination ahead of signing a contract with Bayer club.
Last week, Jackson agreed to personal contract terms with the German club, but negotiations with Chelsea were prolonged over the transfer fee agreement.
GettyTransfer situation
The 24-year-old Jackson will arrive in Germany around 2 PM, where he will be awaiting a medical examination.
He will spend the season in Munich, where the club has agreed to a buy-out option for around 65 million pounds sterling.
Chelsea will also receive around 13 million pounds, although they could not agree on a mandatory buyout condition that they would have preferred.
The loan fee will be a record for Bayer, exceeding the 7 million pounds they previously paid for Coutinho from Liverpool.
Juventus has also shown interest in Jackson while negotiations with Bayer were ongoing.
“Jackson only wanted to play under Vincent Kompany, who first showed interest when he was coaching Anderlecht.”
Now Jackson is heading to Germany for a medical examination ahead of signing the contract.
Despite his desire to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place in the starting lineup, he realized he would become the third choice after the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
Ultimately, joining Bayer turned out to be the best decision for all parties.
Competition at Bayer and Chelsea's plans
At Bayer, Jackson will face serious competition, as he will have to compete for the striker position with Harry Kane.
The English captain has pleasantly surprised fans, scoring 91 goals in 99 matches across all competitions.
Chelsea will also free up a spot, allowing the club to use part of Jackson's salary to invest in other players, among which the potential transfer of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United is actively discussed.

The Argentine winger will likely cost the club only 40 million pounds, as the price has already been agreed with Manchester United.
He was keen to leave the club after falling out of the starting lineup under Ruben Amorim.
This will be the fourth largest sale in United's history after the exits of Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, and Angel Di Maria.
Chelsea has also agreed to a 10% commission on the sale in this deal.
The arrival of Garnacho will help mitigate the loss of the opportunity to sign Xavi Simons, who moved to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
