Challenges with the transfer
The Chelsea forward completed the deal with Bayern on the last day of the transfer window, signing a loan contract with an option to buy for £56 million that will take place next summer.
However, the deal was once threatened to fall through. Jackson reportedly agreed to sacrifice part of his money to help finalize the deal.
According to Bild, the situation became complicated when Chelsea informed Bayern that they could not continue negotiations due to Liam Delap's injury during the match against Fulham.
The negotiations resumed just hours before the window closed, but Chelsea decided to raise the loan fee from £13 million to £14.3 million, putting the deal at risk again.
Then Jackson intervened, deciding to give up part of the bonus so that Bayern could cover the increased fee.
This is a true gesture from the player who was eager to join the Bundesliga champions and team up with Vincent Kompany.
Other examples of players' willingness
This is not the first case where players' representatives are willing to make sacrifices to ensure a transfer. For example, the agent of Benjamin Sesko also forfeited part of his commission to help the Slovenian move to Manchester United.
Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, hopes to quickly find his place in Germany.

This transfer highlights the increasing competitiveness in the European football market, where players are willing to make sacrifices to achieve their goals. Jackson hopes to reach new heights in his career alongside Bayern.
