European Summit in Paris: Trump May Join the Discussion on Security Guarantees for Ukraine.
The German Government is Considering Trump's Participation in the Meeting of European Leaders
According to inkorr.com: The German government is considering the possibility of inviting U.S. President Donald Trump to the planned meeting of EU leaders, set to take place on September 4 in Paris. The main topic of the meeting will be the discussion of security guarantees for Ukraine.
Government spokesperson Stefan Cornelius in Berlin informed reporters that European leaders are in talks about Trump's participation in this important conference.
'I can't predict anything, but the involvement of the U.S. president is currently being discussed,' Cornelius stated in a comment to Sky News.
This meeting was initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron with the aim of continuing the dialogue on security for Ukraine in the context of the ongoing conflict.
Key political figures will be among the participants, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. If Trump decides to participate in the meeting, it could significantly broaden the discussion and add an American perspective to European initiatives.
Therefore, the German government is actively considering Donald Trump's involvement in the EU leaders' meeting regarding security guarantees for Ukraine. This could greatly strengthen cooperation between the EU and the U.S.
