New Manchester United goalkeeper on the team: 'We have everything for success'.
Debut of Senna Lammens at Manchester United
According to The Sun: New Manchester United goalkeeper Senna Lammens is confident that the team has every chance of success this new season.
In his debut, 23-year-old Lammens showcased a solid performance, not conceding a single goal in a 2-0 victory against Sunderland. Fans supported him and sang:
“Are you Schmeichel in disguise?”. Getty
Lammens joined United from Royal Antwerp for £18.2 million on transfer deadline day. However, he had to wait nearly five weeks for his debut.
United's head coach Ruben Amorim decided to give Lammens a chance after Altay Bayındır failed to deliver in a match against Brentford, where the team lost 1-3.
Currently, Lammens, who is registered for the Belgium national team ahead of the World Cup qualifying match against Wales in Cardiff, is actively preparing for the upcoming match against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
In an interview before the match, Lammens shared his impressions of being at United:
“We have everything for success. We have everything necessary to prepare for matches. There are no excuses.”
“It has been very nice. It is a big change in every aspect. The team has welcomed me with open arms.”
“The first two weeks were a bit hard to adjust, but now I am training well and settling my life in Manchester.”
After the victory over Sunderland, United returned to the top of the Premier League table, but the team has not won in their last ten matches at Anfield.
After the game against Liverpool, the team will play at home against Brighton and away against Norwich and Tottenham.
The Manchester United team hopes to continue the positive trend in the upcoming matches, which could be crucial for their position in the table. The players, especially the new goalkeeper Lammens, are eager to solidify their successes in the upcoming games, demonstrating team spirit and professionalism. Read also
