Norway allocates 15 billion kronor to Ukraine: where the funds will go.
Norway increases financial aid to Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The Government of Norway intends to increase financial support to Ukraine next year. A total of 15 billion Norwegian kronor is planned to be allocated to raise the volume of assistance to 85 billion kronor, which is approximately 8.6 billion dollars.
This money will be used to provide civilian assistance, in particular for lighting and heating residential premises, supporting hospitals and schools, as well as assisting people living near the front line. In addition, part of this money will go towards military support, including the purchase of equipment and training for the military, as well as strengthening defense capabilities.
The Minister of Defense of Norway, Tore Sandvik, noted: 'The government will continue to provide equipment and training to Ukrainian servicemen. We will also strengthen efforts in the Coalition for maritime military support for Ukraine, procure equipment from the Ukrainian defense industry, and strengthen priority capabilities.'
If the Norwegian Parliament approves the budget project, the total amount of aid to Ukraine from Norway will amount to 275 billion Norwegian kronor by 2030. This is an important step in supporting Ukraine amid its rapid development and needs in civil and defense measures.
The expansion of financial aid demonstrates Norway's long-standing and ongoing support for Ukraine in difficult times. Given the current challenges, such steps contribute to strengthening the country's defense capability and improving the living conditions of the population, which is particularly important for those suffering from the conflict.
