The first Claire's store is closing tomorrow: what is known about the fate of 145 others.
Closure of CLAIRE'S Accessories stores
According to The Sun: CLAIRE'S Accessories is closing the first of 145 stores tomorrow. In August, the brand went into administration, and now work is underway on its future. Currently, Modella Capital has signed an agreement to acquire 156 CLAIRE'S stores in the UK. As a result, 145 stores in the country remain at risk of closure, including a decision affecting Kettering.
“Details of the deal, which involves the purchase of the brand's assets and properties, are still unknown,”experts note.
This situation has raised concerns among employees and customers as CLAIRE'S has long been an important part of retail in the country.
The closure of stores could significantly impact local economies as CLAIRE'S provides jobs and actively participates in community life. Local consumers should be prepared for possible changes in the offerings of products and brands that may take the place of those that are closing.
