November 26, 18:32The company "Nova Poshta" reported an active distribution of fraudulent emails. These emails contain false messages about debts to the service.
This information was confirmed by the company's press service on Telegram. Criminals use the "Nova Poshta" logo, change the sender's addresses, and fabricate debts to urge people to open attachments or follow dangerous links.
"These emails have nothing to do with 'Nova Poshta' or any other company in the NOVA group," the company emphasized.
"Nova Poshta" urges Ukrainians to follow a few simple tips to enhance security: check the sender's address, do not open emails from unknown persons, and avoid following suspicious links.
"If you opened a suspicious attachment or followed a dubious link, it is advisable to change the passwords on your accounts as soon as possible and check for any other active sessions. If you notice suspicious activity, terminate all unknown sessions through your account security settings," the message states.
Recommendations from the company
The company also suggested:
- Enable two-factor authentication for email, messaging services, banking services, and other important accounts to enhance protection against unauthorized access.
- When receiving such an email, move it to spam and delete it to reduce the risk of repeated mailings and protect other users.
"Nova Poshta's cybersecurity department is already working to stop this phishing campaign and is cooperating with relevant agencies and providers to limit the activities of scammers," they added.
Recall that earlier Ukrainians were also warned about fake emails with viruses that allegedly came from the tax service. Such situations indicate the need to be attentive and cautious in interacting with emails, which can protect against potential security issues.
