NATO recognizes Poland's exemplary role in supporting Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted that Poland plays an important role in supporting Ukraine. He also emphasized that NATO allies need to do more to strengthen the country's defense capabilities. Expressing gratitude to Poland for its leadership in supporting Ukraine, Rutte stressed the importance of this country to the Alliance and its active role in the fight against Russian aggression.
'We discussed how to strengthen assistance to Ukraine and fulfill the commitments that allies have made. This concerns our financial contribution, the establishment of a new NATO command in Wiesbaden, and other measures. The joint analysis, training, and education center Ukraine - NATO is also located in Poland. We are constantly working to improve Ukraine's defense capabilities,'
Mark Rutte noted that the conflict in Ukraine confirms that security has a global dimension and requires cooperation with other NATO partners. He also suggested expanding cooperation with Indo-Pacific countries such as South Korea, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. Rutte believes that the growing alliance between Russia and China, North Korea, and Iran indicates the global nature of security.
