Mandatory water meter checks: what residents can expect from October.
New rules for checking water meters in apartment buildings
According to inkorr.com: Residents of apartment buildings will face new rules for checking engineering communications. Now, apartment owners are required to undergo mandatory water meter checks every three months. The primary goal of these changes is to ensure the accuracy of consumption data and confirm the devices' functionality.
Checks are necessary to monitor the accuracy of readings and the technical condition of the meters
Consumers will receive notifications about the check in advance — personally with a signature, by registered letter, or via SMS. If a consumer cannot be present at the scheduled time, they should agree on a new date for the check with the representatives of the utility company within three days after receiving the notification.
After the transition period is over, utility services will resume checks in full. In the case of unjustified denial of access, consumers may face fines and increased water bills. Experts recommend that residents do not ignore official notifications and coordinate the timing of inspections to avoid additional costs.
Utility payments from October 1
Do not forget about utility payments, which will take effect from October 1, and about how much Ukrainians will have to pay for gas, electricity, and water.
The introduction of new rules for checking water meters in apartment buildings aims to enhance the reliability and fairness of consumption accounting. It is important for residents to adhere to established procedures and undergo checks to avoid possible fines and additional expenses. This will not only protect their finances but also help conserve resources.Read also
