New vacation rules for athletes: who will receive 40 days.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, new vacation rules came into effect on October 12. This was reported by the press service of the State Labor Service.
Starting from October 12, 2025, a new law No. 4514-IX will regulate the provision of vacations for athletes and sports judges for preparation and participation in competitions.
Main changes in vacation rules
According to the new legislation, members of the national team of Ukraine and sports judges can receive vacations lasting up to 40 calendar days. The mechanism for providing them is regulated by government decree No. 565 of June 1, 2011.
- These vacations will be granted not only at the primary place of work but also for those who work part-time.
Conditions for other athletes
Athletes who are not part of the national team will receive vacations under the conditions defined in labor and collective agreements.
The new rules allow Ukrainian athletes and judges to prepare more effectively for competitions, which, in turn, will increase their chances of success on the international stage.
This law is an important step in supporting sports in Ukraine. In addition to increasing the number of vacation days, it also highlights the importance of preparing national athletes for international competitions. As a result, such an initiative can contribute to the development of sports in the country and strengthen its positions on the world sports stage.
