Finland convened an emergency OSCE meeting due to Russia's attacks: what will be discussed.
According to inkorr.com: Finland, which currently holds the presidency of the OSCE, organized a special meeting of the Permanent Council of this organization at the request of Ukraine. This event took place against the backdrop of recent large-scale attacks by Russia, which caused casualties among civilians and significant destruction.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine needs to take decisive measures against the aggressor, including the imposition of tough sanctions to compel it to cease its aggressive activities.
'Only decisive and consistent pressure on the aggressor, including through tough sanctions, can force Moscow to stop pretending to engage in diplomacy and join genuine efforts to end the aggressive war. I am grateful to the current OSCE Chair, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, for her principled stance and timely response', - said Sybiha.
The OSCE meeting initiated by Finland at Ukraine's request highlighted the importance of increasing pressure on Russia to stop its aggression.
Thus, the call from the Ukrainian side to the international community continues to find support. The actions of international organizations, such as the OSCE, play a crucial role in shaping a collective approach to the situation in Ukraine and deterring aggression. Promoting dialogue and diplomatic efforts remains a priority for all participants.
