Strike on Zaporizhzhia on March 31: Two Wounded, Buildings Damaged.
Russian Attack on Zaporizhzhia Region
According to Novyny.live: On March 31, Russian forces launched an attack on the Zaporizhzhia region, leaving two people injured. Among the victims were a 72-year-old man in the Polohy district and a 59-year-old woman in the Zaporizhzhia district. The assault caused significant damage, including the partial destruction of a private residence. According to Ivan Fedorov, another strike targeted the Zaporizhzhia district as well.
During the night of March 31, Russian occupiers also carried out a large-scale attack across Ukraine, deploying 289 attack drones. Air defense units managed to intercept 267 of these drones, highlighting their ongoing efforts to protect the country's airspace.
Rising Violence in Ukraine
This incident is part of a broader wave of attacks. On March 30, Russian forces struck the Sumy region, wounding 13 people and damaging at least 15 residential buildings and vehicles. That same day, a strike on the Poltava district resulted in one fatality and three injuries.
These events underscore the escalating violence in Ukraine, which continues to endanger civilian lives. While air defense systems demonstrate readiness and capability in countering aerial threats, frequent bombardments lead to heavy human and material losses. As the conflict persists, international support remains crucial for protecting Ukraine and its people.
