No Blackouts in Odesa on March 22: All Scheduled Power Cuts Canceled.
Power Supply Situation in Odesa
According to Novyny.live: On Sunday, March 22, residents of Odesa will experience no electricity outages, as all stabilization schedules have been scrapped. This decision comes amid a critical power supply crisis in the Odesa region, where 34 major substations have been damaged or destroyed since mid-December. The region has been grappling with severe infrastructure challenges due to ongoing attacks.
The cancellation of scheduled power cuts marks a significant step toward improving the local energy situation. However, despite these measures, the region remains in a difficult position, requiring further efforts to restore its energy infrastructure fully.
Electricity Prices and Funding
In April, household electricity rates in Odesa will be set at 4.32 UAH per kWh, with a nighttime rate of 2.16 UAH per kWh. For businesses, the base cost of electricity for the month will be 686.23 UAH per MWh. Companies in the 'green' electrometallurgy sector will benefit from a reduced tariff of 359.55 UAH per MWh.
Additionally, the Odesa region will receive 582.3 million UAH from the state budget's reserve fund. Of this amount, over 41.5 million UAH will be allocated to purchase mobile shelters for heat supply facilities, with deliveries expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.
The power supply situation in Odesa remains under control, and the steps taken to improve conditions reflect the authorities' efforts to ensure energy stability in the region.
Meanwhile, state budget funding for infrastructure restoration underscores the importance of supporting damaged energy facilities and ensuring public safety amid a prolonged crisis. Continued initiatives like these could be key to restoring energy stability in the Odesa region.
