Privatization of the 'Finansist' Recreation Center

According to Novyny.live: A state-owned holiday base called 'Finansist', located in Zatoka within the Odesa region, has been put up for a privatization auction. The government aims to generate 1.756 million hryvnias from the sale of this property. The auction is scheduled for July 20. The 'Finansist' recreation center is situated at 101B Prymorska Street in Zatoka and covers a total area of 360.3 square meters.

This facility was under the management of the Finance Department of the Odesa Regional State Administration and was originally built during the Soviet era. Notably, it has never been privatized since Ukraine gained independence, making this auction a significant milestone in the process of divesting state-owned assets.

Accelerating Privatization Efforts in the Odesa Region

Additionally, another recreation center named 'Raketa' has already been put up for sale in the Odesa region. Spanning 453.4 square meters and featuring several temporary structures, the 'Raketa' auction is set to take place in early December of this year. Furthermore, three land plots totaling nearly 60 hectares are being sold in the Odesa district, signaling a broader push to accelerate privatization in the area.

The privatization of state property in Ukraine, particularly in the Odesa region, is becoming a key driver of the country's economic transformation, aimed at attracting investment and improving resource efficiency. The auction of the 'Finansist' recreation center is part of a larger strategy to optimize state-held assets while also supporting the growth of tourism infrastructure in the region. Such auctions can foster competition and lead to better services for vacationers.
