Russian troops entered a border village in Sumy region: dozens of civilians evacuated.
According to ТСН: On the night of December 20, Ukrainian villages became targets for attacks by Russian troops. In the border village of Hrabovske, which belongs to the Krasnopil community in the Sumy region and is located less than 200 meters from the border, Russian troops seized territory.
It is known that civilian residents of the village were evacuated to Russian territory.
“There were civilian residents in the village who had previously signed refusals of evacuation. We know that this concerns just over fifty citizens. They were taken to the territory of the Russian Federation for so-called 'filtering measures.'”
This information was confirmed by the head of the village Hrabovske, Larysa Kremezna, noting that there were no children among those evacuated.
Activation of Russian troops
Co-founder of the analytical project Deep State Ruslan Mykula reported that Russian military units have intensified in the area of Hrabovske. According to him, the situation remains tense, and the threat of the spread of hostilities persists.
In addition, further movement of Russian units in the direction of the High settlement and the Riasne village has been recorded.
Evacuation from Riasne
As of the morning of December 20, there were still civilian residents in the village of Riasne. The evacuation was organized by volunteers from the Red Cross, the police ‘White Angels’ special unit, and local authorities, but only about a quarter of the population took the opportunity to leave, despite warnings of danger.
“We are ready to continue the evacuation if there are requests,”said police officer Olena Stavytska.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration confirmed the information about the continuation of evacuations of civilians from border communities. Some of those who had previously refused to leave were evacuated by armored transport, and they are currently in a transit center where they receive assistance. The evacuation continues for all who submit applications, in cooperation with volunteers and relevant services.
The situation in the Huliaipil direction has also escalated: besides military pressure from the enemy, the defense of the city is facing internal problems in the 102nd separate brigade of territorial defense.
The current situation in the border areas underscores the danger of the conflict, which continues to threaten the civilian population, and also requires additional efforts to ensure security. The evacuation process is a vital step in saving lives and supporting people who find themselves in a dangerous situation.
