Olya Polyakova applied for Eurovision-2026: what is known about her application

According to inkorr.com: Singer Olya Polyakova applied for the national selection for Eurovision-2026. She officially addressed 'Public Broadcasting' with a proposal to change some of the selection rules. This became known from a message on her social media, quoted by 'Glavkom'.

After a series of scandals with Maruv in 2019 and Alina Pash in 2022, who won in the national selection, the rules of participation for artists were changed. Now individuals who were on the territory of Russia and occupied territories since 2014, as well as in Belarus after February 2024, cannot participate in the selection. This restriction prevents many popular performers, including Polyakova, from entering the national selection.

Application for Participation

Despite this, Olya decided to submit her application. It is currently unknown which song she plans to present. The singer announced her intentions at a closed event in the capital, where she invited media representatives, artists, and bloggers. During this event, she presented her new English-language song 'Warrior' and its music video, explaining her position.

Olya Polyakova, by submitting her application and letter to 'Public Broadcasting', continues to fight for the opportunity to present her music on the grand stage of Eurovision. Previous scandals and changes in participation rules have not dampened her enthusiasm and desire to share her creativity with fans.
