That night, New York witnessed the second Athlos event, incorporating six track and field competitions at Ikena Stadium on Randall's Island. The long jumps took place in an unusual way - right on the street at Times Square.
The best jumpers competed against each other and showcased their skills while the spectators were thrilled. For fans, the event was free, offering the opportunity to enjoy thrilling performances in the heart of Manhattan.
Among the competitors was Olympic and world champion Tara Davis-Woodhall, who won with a distance of 7.13 meters and received a tiara worth £20,000 instead of traditional medals.
