Online registration and cancellation of VLC: Ukraine may change military registration.
The Ministry of Defense proposed to change the process of registering conscripts for military service. According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the relevant bill has already been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The main novelty is the possibility to register for military service using electronic identification. This can be done through the service "Electronic personal account of a conscript, reservist and draftee". This will simplify the procedure and allow remote updates of personal data.
In addition, commissions for conscription registration will be abolished, which will significantly speed up and debureaucratize the process. Another important change is the cancellation of the mandatory medical examination when registering citizens for military service.
For university students, a medical examination will be conducted before practical classes in basic general military training. The bill also clarifies the provisions on the military registration of women who wish to undergo basic military service.
Earlier it was reported that new summonses will be sent out in Ukraine starting from September. Details can be found here.
