Heating season in manual mode: why Ukrainians face restrictions.
Heating problems in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The heating season in Ukraine will start in manual mode, taking into account the current situation. The most difficult circumstances are observed in frontline regions, where conditions are critical. Thanks to the warm weather, it has been possible to avoid restrictions on heat supply for now, but experts are confident that they will ultimately be unavoidable, and news on this issue will arrive constantly.
Experts' outrage
The head of the Union of Consumers of Communal Services, Oleg Popenko, expressed outrage over the delay of the President's decree at the beginning of the heating season. He believes this indicates existing problems in local government bodies and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Critical situation in regions
The worst heating conditions have been found in areas adjacent to the front line. Many cities in these regions are facing difficulties in heat supply, and the heating system often does not function. At the same time, local authorities in Sumy and Zaporizhia have just begun allocating budget funds for mobile boilers, although the problem has existed for a long time.
Further restrictions anticipated
Experts predict that Ukrainians may face new restrictions regarding the thermal insulation of their homes. Even in warm weather conditions, heating prices may be excessive. According to the State Consumer Service, 93% of communal enterprises violate the rules for calculating services provided, and this is just the tip of the iceberg of problems.
The situation with heating in Ukraine raises concerns, especially in regions affected by hostilities. Critical conditions in frontline cities may lead to even greater difficulties in providing the population with heat. Authorities must act urgently to avoid a humanitarian crisis during the heating period.
