The gas supply company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' presented the main requirements and advice that will help avoid dangerous situations in the cold months.
The company emphasizes that before starting heating systems, it is necessary to conduct a technical inspection of the equipment.
“Order technical maintenance only from specialists”, the Naftogaz representatives warn about the risks of do-it-yourself repairs. It is also important to check ventilation and flue channels, which should not be contaminated or frozen.
Experts emphasize that gas appliances must operate with free access to air - they should not be covered with furniture or textiles. It is strictly prohibited to use a gas stove for heating rooms, as this is one of the most dangerous practices that leads to poisoning every year.
Naftogaz recommends updating old systems, as modern devices are not only more economical but also provide a higher level of safety.
“If you haven't checked your boiler or water heater for a long time - now is the time to do it”, the company emphasizes.
