Survey - Support for Ukraine in America
According to the Pew Research Center, American society remains divided on the issue of U.S. aid to Ukraine. 30% of adult Americans believe that the U.S. provides too much support to the Ukrainian conflict with Russia, slightly more than in 2024. On the other hand, 22% of citizens believe that the U.S. does not provide enough support. Thus, Americans' views on support for Ukraine are aligning with pre-election levels.

Republicans and independents leaning toward Republicans express more dissatisfaction with support for Ukraine (47%), compared to Democrats (14%). Within the Republican Party itself, the majority across all age groups believe that the U.S. provides too much support. Among Democrats, those under 30 years old are evenly split between 'providing enough' and 'providing too little'.

Additionally, 39% of Americans believe that support for Ukraine in the war against Russia helps U.S. national security, 31% believe it harms it, and 27% see no impact. Democrats more often believe that support helps national security (53%), while Republicans more often believe it harms it (40%).

At a high level, Democratic support for Ukraine is age-related, increasing among older age groups. Similarly, among Republicans, support for Ukraine is believed to harm national security more among the young. Americans support Ukraine more than before, but the issue remains divided.
