What’s Driving Prices Up?
In Kyiv, the average monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment reached 27,000 UAH in June, a 4% increase from May. Other regions also reported price hikes:
- Zakarpattia Oblast — average one-bedroom rent stands at 22,500 UAH;
- Cherkasy Oblast — 19,000 UAH per month;
- Kherson Oblast — the lowest rent is just 4,000 UAH.
As previously noted, Kyiv tops the list for rental prices. In June, demand for rentals grew across all Ukrainian oblasts, with the sharpest increase recorded in Chernihiv Oblast at 27%. In the capital region, there are an average of three prospective tenants per listing, highlighting fierce competition.

The city remains the price leader, but demand is also rising elsewhere. Compared to May, rental listings surged by 108% in Kherson Oblast, 52% in Zhytomyr Oblast, 49% in Kirovohrad Oblast, and 42% in Cherkasy Oblast.
