Oschadbank Implements Fee Increases for 2026, Raising Notification Costs.
Oschadbank's 2026 Fee Structure Revision
According to Novyny.live: In 2026, Oschadbank has adjusted pricing for its banking products, resulting in higher costs for several service packages. The annual fee for Viber notifications has risen to 300 UAH, while the monthly charge for these messages has increased from 15 UAH to 25 UAH. These changes specifically affect three tariff plans: 'My Card', 'MORE', and 'Child's Card'. For these packages, the cost of notification services for some cards is now set at 300 UAH. This move is part of a broader trend of Ukrainian banks revising service fees to adapt to the current economic climate.
Furthermore, the price for monthly SMS notifications has increased from 25 UAH to 40 UAH. However, Push notifications delivered through the Mobile Oschad application will remain free of charge for 2026. The bank has also implemented increases in several commission fees:
- The commission for obtaining a statement at a bank branch has risen from 100 UAH to 150 UAH;
- The fee for maintaining an account balance has increased from 3 UAH to 5 UAH;
It is important to note that an overdraft fee for transactions exceeding the available card balance is not applied.
Impact of the Changes on Customers
The tariff adjustments will undoubtedly impact a significant number of the bank's clients, particularly those subscribed to the mentioned packages. Another relevant change for 2026 involves the ability to use only 17.3 thousand UAH from frozen accounts. Clients who primarily use notification services via Viber and SMS will be most affected by the new pricing.
Who is affected by Oschadbank's updated tariffs? The changes mainly concern customers using the 'My Card', 'MORE', and 'Child's Card' plans who rely on messaging services. Consequently, these users will experience a direct increase in their service costs.
How can customers change their notification channel at Oschadbank? Clients can modify their preferred delivery method for notifications either through the mobile banking application or by visiting a bank branch, choosing from the available options.
What other tariff changes has the bank made? Beyond the higher notification costs, the revisions include increased commissions for account statements and balance maintenance, indicating a comprehensive review of the bank's service fees.
The update to Oschadbank's fee schedule highlights an industry-wide trend of rising banking service costs, likely influenced by economic conditions and shifts in regulatory policy.
Customers should monitor these changes closely to adjust their financial planning in response to growing expenses. These increases may prompt some clients to evaluate alternative banks or financial products that offer more favorable terms.
