Ukrainians have been informed about how the content of the baby package has been updated and what the compensation is.
The support program for families with newborns in Ukraine remains active. Every family with a newborn has the opportunity to receive a 'Baby Package' that contains the essential goods for caring for the child. Parents can choose either a ready-made baby box or a monetary compensation.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the amount of monetary compensation in 2025 will be 7689 Hryvnias. This will provide families with more flexibility to meet the needs of newborns.
The program continues to support young families and allows spending the funds in 12,500 retail stores that participated in the monetization of the 'Baby Package'. Since the program's inception from 2020 to 2024, over 729,000 Ukrainian families have received monetary compensation amounting to over 4.7 billion UAH.
The new version of the 'Baby Package', updated in 2024, includes products popular among parents, such as reusable waterproof diapers and warm clothing. Additionally, the size of the blanket has been increased and the amount of clothing for the smallest size has been reduced.
The new 'Baby Package' also includes the book 'From Birth to Year', developed by UNICEF specialists. This is a practical guide for parents of newborns with tips and the best worldwide practices.
The 'Baby Package' can be received at the maternity hospital after the child is born, and if it is not available, a request can be submitted to the social protection authorities or the administrative services center within 30 days after the child's birth. A request and the child's birth certificate are required for receipt.
This is the essence of the new government regulation on the baby package.
