Ministry of Social Policy Expands School Package: What Additional Funding Will Be Provided.
Expansion of the 'School Package' Program
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine plans to expand the state program 'School Package'. According to the press service, the changes will concern the possibility of purchasing books with the help of this program.
The Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin noted:
'We are currently working on allowing the assistance to also be used for books, and we expect the implementation of this in the next three weeks.'
'Ukrainian families are actively utilizing the program, with most applying through the mobile application 'Diia'. As of early September, nearly 128 thousand families sought assistance, of which 122 thousand used the mobile application 'Diia'', - the official said.
To date, 86 thousand families have received support totaling 430 million hryvnias, which accounts for a third of the planned budget funds. Another 18 thousand families are awaiting assistance in the near future. However, over 3 thousand applications have been denied due to non-compliance with the program's conditions.
The minister urged parents to carefully check the data in their applications and avoid errors. In case of denial, they may re-submit documents after correcting the reasons for rejection. The main difficulties arise from inaccuracies in applications or changes in the child's educational institution.
It is expected that the expansion of the 'School Package' program and the ability to receive assistance for the purchase of books for schoolchildren will soon become available. The program has already helped thousands of Ukrainian families, although issues with the rejection of applications due to various inaccuracies are still relevant.
The expansion of the program has the potential to positively impact the educational process, as parents will be able to provide their children with the necessary educational materials more easily. This will not only provide material support but also simplify preparations for the new academic year for many Ukrainian families.
