Fuel price increase from 2026: how much will gasoline get more expensive.
According to inkorr.com: From early 2024, fuel prices in Ukraine may rise by 7-10%. This information has been confirmed by experts, indicating a possible increase in excise taxes. It is expected that fuel prices will rise by approximately 1.5-2 hryvnias per liter, and there will also be an additional surcharge of 5%.
Gas stations earn 8 hryvnias per liter
It is worth noting that fuel prices in Ukraine already exceed the average indicators by 14-16%, as there is no state regulation. The concentration of the market in the hands of a few large companies only complicates the situation, which may lead to monopolization and further price increases.
Forecasts regarding fuel shortages
Experts believe that the threat of fuel shortages is about 40%, which could lead to a sharp rise in prices and supply disruptions. They recommend that citizens prepare in advance by leaving a few canisters for fuel reserves.
New excise taxes from 2026
From January 1, 2026, a new increase in excise taxes is expected, as a result of which the cost of automotive fuel will also rise:
- Gasoline: from 271.7 euros to 300.8 euros per ton.
- Diesel: from 215.7 euros to 253.8 euros per ton.
- LPG: from 173 euros to 198 euros per ton.
