The Dismissal of Kluivert: Why Indonesia Parted Ways with the Legend.
The Dismissal of Patrick Kluivert
According to The Sun: Patrick Kluivert found himself without a job after being removed from his position as the head coach of the Indonesian national team. The legend of football clubs 'Barcelona', 'Ajax', and the Dutch national team, who is 49 years old, took up the role in January, signing a two-year contract.
Demands of the Coach
His task was to lead the team to its first World Cup after gaining independence in 1945. However, defeats to Saudi Arabia and Iraq last week dashed those hopes.
“It is important to understand that the result today is the main criterion for evaluating our work,” noted Kluivert.
Kluivert's dismissal came as a surprise to many, as he had significant experience as a player. Now, Indonesia will have to find a new coach who will attempt to realize ambitious sports plans in the country. It is crucial that the new mentor is capable of working under pressure and pushing the team to achieve results on the international stage.
