Pensions for disabled individuals of group II will change from November: what is known.
According to inkorr.com: The Pension Fund of Ukraine has reported possible changes in the pension amounts for individuals with disabilities of group II in November.
Pension for individuals with disabilities depends on the disability group, work experience, and other factors
The pension amount varies depending on the disability group: 100% for group I, 90% for group II, and 50% for group III. Payments begin from the moment of disability establishment; however, it is necessary to contact the Pension Fund within three months to receive the pension from the date of disability establishment.
Upcoming changes in the pension system
The government intends to update the pension system in 2026, allocating over one trillion hryvnias for this program. This will allow for pension increases for most citizens of Ukraine, including individuals with disabilities. There is also a separate system of pension payments for those who became disabled during military actions: their pension will amount to 80% of the military personnel's monetary provision, and work experience will not be taken into account.
The upcoming changes in the pension system aim to improve the financial situation of people with disabilities and other citizens of Ukraine. The planned updates may significantly affect the quality of life of pensioners, especially those who need additional support due to their disability. The government continues to work on reforms aimed at enhancing social protection for the population.
