Miners' pensions in 2025: who will receive a guaranteed 7 thousand hryvnias

According to inkorr.com: In 2025, some Ukrainian workers may have their minimum pension increased to 7.08 thousand hryvnias. This is stipulated by Law No. 345-VI, which simplifies pension provision for miners and individuals working underground.

A preferential pension by age is granted to those who work in underground or heavy jobs classified as particularly harmful. This category also includes workers from emergency rescue services and mining construction enterprises.

To receive a preferential pension, certain work experience is required:

  • for men - at least 25 years, of which 10 years must be in underground work after reaching the age of 50;
  • for women - 20 years of experience, with 7.5 years in the specified jobs after age 50.

The minimum pension for miners who worked underground is 80% of their salary. It cannot be less than three subsistence minimums for non-working persons, which ensures a minimum guaranteed pension of 7.08 thousand hryvnias.

Confirmation of entitlement to a preferential pension

To obtain a preferential pension, one must provide an employment record book, a certificate of working conditions, and a copy of the company order with the results of the workplace certification. It is important to note that age supplements are not granted to everyone, as the Pension Fund has established strict restrictions.

A preferential pension for miners is an important form of social protection for workers who perform dangerous jobs underground or in high-risk conditions. It provides them with a minimum level of pension and support in old age. Legislative benefits are aimed at improving the social protection of such workers who engage in complex and hazardous activities.
