Pension Reform in Ukraine: How Much Will the Required Service Increase by 2028.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine is implementing pension legislation reform, gradually raising the requirements for insurance experience to receive a pension. According to the plan developed until 2028, the minimum service required for different groups of pensioners will increase annually.
Changes in Service Requirements
As of today, to receive a pension at 60, Ukrainians must have at least 32 years of service. However, this is just the beginning, as in the future, the service requirements will increase even more. For example, in 2026, those retiring at 60 will need 33 years of service, while those planning to retire at 63 will need 23 years of service.
Early Retirement
Regarding early retirement, this option is available for certain social groups, such as individuals with pituitary dwarfism or mothers of large families. The pension system reform affects all citizens and prepares Ukrainians for new conditions to receive a decent pension in the future.
Thus, changes in pension legislation represent an important stage in updating Ukraine's social policy. The increasing requirements for insurance experience may cause concern for those planning to retire soon. However, these steps are aimed at ensuring the stability of the pension system and providing financial support for future generations.
