Pensions may be suspended: who is threatened by payment blocking.
Ukrainians were explained who and in what cases pension payments can be suspended.
According to inkorr.com: According to 'Hvylya', the publication 'On Pension' reports news in the field of pension provision in Ukraine.
An updated system for disbursing pensions and social assistance has been introduced in the country. Since February, banks are required to regularly inform the Pension Fund which recipients have undergone identity verification and which have not.
This monitoring system helps identify situations when:
- pensions are received through trusted persons for a year;
- people do not verify their identity;
- no transactions (purchases, withdrawals) have been conducted on pension accounts for a long time.
If such circumstances are detected, the account is temporarily blocked, leading to a halt in the receipt of funds.
In order to restore payments, the pensioner must confirm their identity:
- visit the bank in person;
- go through video identification online.
The main goal of these measures is to ensure that the pension is received only by the person entitled to it under the law.
Earlier, the conditions for receiving a new allowance for Ukrainians were also revealed.
Understanding the conditions under which pension payments may be suspended is important for understanding the activities of the social protection system in Ukraine. These actions are aimed at preventing fraud and ensuring payments only to legitimate recipients. The primary task is to ensure fairness and efficiency in the operation of the social security system.
