The Pension Fund has begun calculating heating subsidies: who will have to apply.
According to inkorr.com: On October 1, the Pension Fund of Ukraine started the process of calculating housing subsidies for the population for the heating season 2025-2026. The amount of financial assistance will be determined taking into account the duration of the heating period, which lasts from October 16 to April 15, as stated in the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 848 from 1995.
Most families will receive subsidies automatically. In addition, the amount of the subsidy will be reviewed automatically for those whose subsidy was 0.00 UAH during the summer period. The calculations will consider income from the first and second quarters of 2025, and for pensioners - the amount of pension accrued for August.
Recalculation and submission of documents
However, not all citizens will have their recalculation done automatically. An application needs to be submitted by those who intend to receive a subsidy for the first time, as well as by those whose family composition, registered persons, or list of housing and communal services has changed. Those who received a refusal for assistance during the non-heating period due to debts should also apply if those debts have been settled, restructured, or if the case is currently in court.
To receive a subsidy, it is necessary to submit an application and a declaration using the approved forms. In some cases, additional documents may be required, such as a rental agreement, a copy of the debt restructuring agreement, or a certificate of internally displaced persons.
Thus, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has started the process of calculating housing subsidies for the new heating season 2025-2026, which aims to support many citizens in paying for utility services. Ukrainians should familiarize themselves with the conditions for calculations and the possibility of submitting documents in order to timely receive the necessary assistance.
