Pensioners with years of service are losing benefits: who is banned from working.
New regulations for pensioners in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: Pensioners in Ukraine who receive benefits for years of service now face new requirements that complicate their ability to work while receiving a pension. Unlike those who retired at a certain age, this category must choose between a salary and a pension. Additionally, changes require pensioners to notify the Pension Fund of their employment or dismissal within 10 days. Violation of this rule may lead to overpayments that must be returned.
The ban on simultaneous salary and pension payments applies to individuals who continue to work in the same positions from which they retired - this includes teachers, medical personnel, and civil servants. If a pensioner continues to work in their previous position, their pension is suspended until official dismissal. Furthermore, employment may lead to the cancellation of certain pension supplements, such as minimum level add-ons and other targeted payments.
'Ordinary pensioners, those who retired at a certain age, can continue to work calmly and receive two payments: both salary and pension,' emphasized analyst Kateryna Kotenko.
Thus, the new rules for working pensioners in Ukraine will bring significant changes to pension payment conditions. The mandatory notification to the Pension Fund about employment within 10 days can significantly affect pension payments and supplements for various categories of workers. These changes may pose a challenge for many Ukrainian pensioners, as the need to comply with new requirements may lead to financial difficulties in case of violations.
