Pensioners Lose Thousands of Hryvnias: PFC Violates Supreme Court Rulings.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, pensioners receiving retirement benefits for years of service face a serious problem: upon transitioning to age pension, they lose up to half of their payments. The Pension Fund of Ukraine applies incomprehensible calculation methods that contradict the Supreme Court's rulings.
Discontent Among Pensioners
As journalist Iryna Polyakova notes, many pensioners consider the pension calculation system unfair. Many continue to work even after receiving a retirement pension, but the transition to age pension does not bring the expected increase in financial payments.
"Ask any pensioner if they believe the state calculates pensions fairly. You will definitely hear: 'No'", emphasizes Iryna Polyakova, pointing out the general discontent of people with the pension system.
Incorrect Calculation of Payments
The essence of the problem lies in the incorrect interpretation of the transition from one type of pension to another. The Pension Fund considers this transition to be a transfer, leading to the use of outdated average salary indicators and a significant reduction in payments. The monthly difference can reach 4000 hryvnias, amounting to nearly 50,000 hryvnias in lost funds over a year.
Recommendations for Pensioners
Pensioners are advised to actively defend their rights: to submit applications to the Pension Fund of Ukraine for transitioning to age pension and to go to court if the calculation was conducted incorrectly. This is important not only due to financial losses but also for obtaining additional benefits and increasing payments.
Pensioners in Ukraine have the right to a fair calculation of their pensions and should not tolerate systemic injustice in the pension system.
This situation highlights the importance of a fair approach to the calculation of pension payments, as pensioners who have dedicated most of their lives to public service deserve support and respect. Currently, active measures can improve the situation of former employees who find themselves in a difficult financial situation.
